Consumption vs Creation

A concept I've been thinking about a lot lately is consumption versus creation. Following versus leading.
How is it that we get herded, as human beings with free will, into these separate bubbles? Is our fate in this regard pre-determined or carefully chosen? We are here to create something, and yet some of us spend eighty years solely consuming the creations of others.
Are we lazy or incapable? Insecure in our talents or simply dismissive towards the idea of creation? Do we even think twice about the fact that our one opportunity to leave a mark on this Earth may be willingly disposed of?
In some cases, we are cancelling out our mere existence. Tying ourselves to the work of others and spitting their ideas out like clones.
I believe we need to cultivate the confidence and passion to allow us to create the space for our own ideas and work, even in this saturated world that's constantly fighting for our attention.
One of my goals as an integrative health coach is to inspire my clients to get aligned with their true selves through the integration of spiritual and physical health, building themselves up to then give back to the world using their unique talents and gifts.
Have an amazing week!
